Heated grips are worth it if you're in a cold climate. I wouldn't heat the seat though.

 

I have the heated hammock seat on my ultra and have used it quite a few times, my wife really likes it. It's comfortable and when the temps get low there ain't nothing wrong with a little heat.

 

My wife loves the heated seat,i'm sitting on enough heat with that 110 under the seat.

I'm sure ill get chided for this, but...

I'm about to pull the trigger on a new Ultra Limited. I'm currently riding a Goldwing Navi/ABS with heated seat. Although I don't use it that often, the wife does. The heated seats are nice and anything that helps my wife stay comfortable on the bike is a plus in my book. So, I'll likely pony up for the heated Hammock.

I have the heated hammock seat. Wouldn't go without it. It's always there if you get chilled and it works well. Well worth the cost compared to the cost of other bling that I could spend on chrome and stuff. Comfort means more to me than pretty stuff hanging off my bikes.

 

I guess it's all about how much padding you have . I've been riding thru winters for over 30 years with just long johns, insulated boots, and heated gloves. I can honestly say in all that time my *** has never been cold. Hand yes, legs yes, face yes but my *** no. My riding buddys say using the heated vest keeps your core temp warm and that works for them. I would think taking off your crotch cooler would do more and be cheaper, then replacing and wiring up a heated seat.,,

 

i have the heated grips on my flhtk. i bought a daylong by russell and thought what the heck, and i had the heat added. i haven't had a chance to ride with it yet as i haven't had the need. i still have to connect the wires but probably will soon as it is starting to get chilly. i love the heated grips as i do a lot of early morning...some would call it night (0200-0300 hrs) commuting to work. i ride till it starts freezing with a heated liner (i know, call me a wuss) but it extends the riding season for me here in southern maryland and the greater d.c. area to almost all year. oh, btw, almost 6000 miles on the day long....love it.
