Default Cruise control roll off switch

IMy cruise does not work so I took the advice of this forum and pulled top wire from roll off switch, now the cruise works perfectly, with the clutch or brake disengaging cruise as it should. My question is, does it hurt anything to operate this way?

Does not hurt, I know people that have ridden for a few years like that.

Nice to know.
Never had a problem with the 95 Ultra or the 12 SG, yet!

Thanks,

Bikes with throttle cables and cruise control have a roll off switch in the throttle cable that allows one to "roll off" or roll the throttle forward and stop the cruise control

I do remember having to adjust the throttle cable to keep the cruse working (alot) on the 95. Never thought that you could just remome the connection. I would have thought that it might totally make the cruse inop.

had that happen right before I took a trip the week before labor day. I went ahead and changed the cable to get the switch back working, don't know why I did guess I just wanted everything working as it should be. It's a simple fix, don't even have to take the tank off.
