Hello everyone. Been reading a while, second post.

My chrome ignition switch started to bubble and the chrome started to look like crap. Harley wants over $100 for a replacement switch, which they tell me will be keyed to my bike (so it matches the fork lock etc.).

I found and purchased the same switch elsewhere for $15.99, fits perfect. Problem is now I have one round key for the fork lock and one round key for the ignition switch. I thought about just removing the lock cylinder from my damaged switch and putting it into the new switch.

So my question is, does anyone know how to remove the innards from these chrome ignition switches so that i can swap just the cylinder lock itself? I hate having two different keys for my bike.
