Rush Baffles

Rush Baffles
I have a set of Rush Slip on mufflers. Was on a poker run today and they don't seem to be very loud. You have to get on the throttle to get them to open up volume wise.I tried measuring the baffles using a hole gage (not removing the baffles) and got 1.875 (1 7/8" approximate). (Meaning the inside of the baffle) I guess that would mean they ( the outside of the baffle) are 2" baffles?? A lot of members have said that they feel the 2" baffles are rather loud. These are DEFINITIVELY not that in my opinion. I have also read that going to a 2 1/4" could reduce performance on my 2010 Heritage Classic. I have a stage one a/c and a Power Vision tuner.
I heard several Vance and Hines pipes (straight shots)and really liked the way they sounded. Are they louder than the Rush and are the slip on's any good. Or do I need a complete system??

If they are pretty new give them time. I'm running 1.75" and they have burned out a lot. They have fiberglass packing in them that doesn't really last that long. You could also remove the baffle and take some or all of it out. I'm thinking of repacking mine to get the noise down a little.
