HOG Membership renewal?
#4
I go to local HOG events more than anything else motorcycle related. Went to the state rally last monthand had a good time.
If you are only interested in emergency towing, it may not be that great. If you actually do things with the local chapter, go to events and rides, use the discount at the dealer, etc., then it's well worth the money.

A poser is the guy who keeps whining about the fact that somebody labelled him a poser, so he keeps bringing it up, as if to make a joke about it, until it become annoying.

I haven't decided if HOG is for me or not. I didn't have anybody to ride with so I joined a local chapter at the beginning of the year.
I've done a couple poker runs and attended the state rally and have concluded they spend an awful lot of time beggig for money and making members feel guilty for not volunteering time to do stuff. They also do a lot of group rides to tour stuff. (Last week, they toured the budweiser brewery). I'd rather just ride than go on these touristy adventures.
All that said, I did renew my national membership this week because I like the magazine, might need a tow someday and it knocks $15 a month off my cell phone bill.

I save over $200 a year by being a HOG member and having AT&T cell service. plus the 10% discount my local dealer gives me...... so it's worth the $45.
I don't support the local HOG chapter.

I let mine go a few years ago but renewed a few months back after finding out they are putting up a new CVO and cash for HOG members riding in the Hoka Hey. I probably would have gone ahead and renewed it even if I wasn't riding this year simply because they are putting up the prizes.
