Tired of cleaning burnt rubber off the exhaust. I can only find ones by Kuryakyn and there entire floor board pieces you stick (on) over the exsisting floor board..Not ! Thanks
I did just find that one online. Doesn't look half bad.. The only one review though the guy said he didn't feel good about the set screw mounting..You have that one? I had a, dare i say it, Yamaha once that had just a small, maybe 3/8" round stock upside down looking V shape bar between the Peg and the pipe. Really hardly noticeable..I was looking and i might beable to make one myself, mount it to the bar supporting the floorboard to the frame and be good to go..Least it will give me something to fabricate while waiting for this freaking Nevada weather to warm and dry up..I got a s#!t load of fabracated things in the junk box this winter, whats another.. Thanks
I did like one that Heel Guard makes but i said for $70 I'll make my own using that style..Little flat and round stock and bingo..I don't have a plating system so i went with flat black so it matches the flat black floor boards and engine case..More i look at it the more I like it over chrome..Not to flashy..last thing i want to do is slide some black electrical shrink tubbing over the round stock to protect the paint and give it a matching rubber look like the floor boards..Plenty of room for the FB to kick up but I don't lay this baby into the turns that much anyway..Some pics if I did this right..
That looks good. I almost forgot to mention that I run Harley Goodies extensions on mine and I have found no need for a boot guard with them. They move the boards out a bit and make for a much more comfortable ride. http://harleygoodies.com/hdf/

I could not imagine life without my goodies.
Live and learn. I hadn't seen those before. That's why I burn the heel. I have my foot cocked out at a angle cause the boards are to close in for comfort. Never had boards before but they beat pegs by a mile. Do you scrap them more often ? Notice they didn't metion that in the benefits of using them section. That always scares the b'jesus out of me when they first hit till I realise what just happened. I got a bad habbit of looking down to see how close they are on a tight turn till I get to know the bikes limitations..
I don't scrape more often. The lean angle is increased but about 1 degree. He offers a money back guarantee if you are not happy for 30 days and they are inexpensive.
