Default Harley Davidson Utilicar

Need some help. I have this 1969 Harley Davidson Utilicar ( or modified golf cart). After searching the web, I have come up empty of information. The model number is 69DC-1142. The patent numbers on the vehicle are for the engine and transmission. Would like to restore to original color etc. The unit runs wells. Does any one know what this is for sure? WE have been told there were a few units contracted for the Air Force but do not know if this is one.

Front body work and windshield frame look to well made to be hand made/home built. This is why I think it never was a golf cart, even though it shares some golf cart parts.

The metal trim/front bumper look factory made. The truck bed looks home built. The roof looks as if somebody found something that would fit so they threw on there.

Could of been HD's attempt to sell a JDerre gator type of work vehicle to be used on golf courses.

Default Utilicar info

Hey saw this post know it is rather old but thought it was awesome one of these carts still exist. This was really made by harley at an attempt to compete with cushman work carts. I do have the parts book which shows all the body panels and what not for this cart if you would lke me to scan it for you. It did have doors I assume at one time and was the only cart harley made that came stock with a hand brake and hydralic drum brakes. If you got more pictures of this thing I would love to see them. I own a 65 and 75 Golf cart which is basically the same frame wise just the body is different.

They used them for meter maid carts in the 60's and 70's maybe earlier. The ones I saw were white and had the city emblem on them. google meter maid carts!

I forgot all about those. I still hang my head when I remember the Harley Davidson name was hung on golf carts.
