Water resistant and Water proof are two entirely different animals. If you believe these jeans will keep your azz from gettin wet, think again.

They're water "resistant" not water proof. That says to me that riding a bike in the rain is still gonna get your knickers wet.

I bought some on sale at Cavenders, I didn't notice the "water resistant" tag till I got home. To me they wear (and get wet) like any other Wranglers. I only paid about 19 or 20 dollars, I wouldn't have bought them at more than that.

I didn't even know you were suppose to wash them... When they get dirty just wear them out in the rain.. Problem solved.

I don't know much about the 'new' 13MWZ's, as from what I understand they went the same route as Levi and now are made in <insert your favorite foreign country>... (You can tell where they are made by looking at the inside label).

All of the Wrangler 13MWZ's I own are a few years old, with a label that still reads "Made In The USA, 100% Cotton".....

I wear Wrangler jeans all the time but don't think for a moment that these things will keep you dry in the rain.

Reading the ad for these jeans......it says the water-repellant becomes activated when exposted to heat.......so......... if you haven't put them in a HOT dryer or ironed them FIRST before you wear them, the repellant chemicals wouldn't have activated. I'm sure if you're in a soaking downpour...... you're screwed. But a light rain may keep your drawers dry.

It pays to read ALL the instructions......

They may be water resistant if you're walking but going 70 mph, even 30, will force the rain right through. A waste of money.

These jeans were designed by rodeo riders. Horses and bulls are fast but nothing to compare to a Harley. Thanks for all the info. I've changed my mind on getting a pair. Back to the rain suit.
