I had to change or get rid of the Fuepak. Its not tuneable, will not have a proper map, especially the fuel ratio.Yes the PCV is an additional expense but will need some sort of "tuner". I like you probably bought the fuelpak not expecting to do anything other then the stage one. I should have know better.

With a 38° intake close I would expect the SS510's to harm low-end TQ with stock compression while increasing midrange and peak-HP. SE255's will not produce as much peak-HP increase but with their 25° intake close will retain or increase low-end characteristics and will move the TQ curve up without shifting it to the right. The SE255's are a very popular bagger cam set because they provide a useful power increase for stock engines without making other changes like higher-compression pistons. The power range is where most of us ride, in the low-end and midrange, not at an RPM realized after a downshift or two. Neither cam is "best" for everyone as any given rider will have different needs and expectations.

After about two years of researching cams I installed the SE255's to my otherwise stock TC96 (with PCV-AT, AC, and mufflers) and the results were very much to my satisfaction for my type of riding.

I talked to a V & H tech (seemed to very knowledgable) who gave me a map that he said would work for the 255?

Do you have a stock 96 and what type of tuner did you use?

I just ordered the S&S 510G set for my 09 SG. I'll have the install done at my 5k service.
I had a S&S gear-driven cam set installed in my 00 FXST when that chain-driven set flew all to hell. I loved the results.
I don't care what people say about the "improved" tensioners. The gear-driven set + cams will improve performance, tack on a few horses, and just make it thump harder.
