Dyna Pics of Ammo Cans Turned into Bags
Does anyone have photos of military ammunition cans mounted to work as saddle bags? I've got two different sizes of cans that I can use but aren't sure of what other mods or changes I might have to make for these to work. Thought I'd ask before I start painting and tooling. Also curious how you might have attached the cans given the weight. Thanks--

There's a guy around here, Bay Area, that has a Street Bob with ammo cans for saddlebags. I think he welded them to the detachable sissybar so he can remove them as required. Easily locked, but small. It looks interesting and even kinda' cool. Needs ammo belts to a mounted .50 cal
Next time I see him at Starbuck's, I'll try to snap a couple pics with the cellphone.

I think Mud used 40mm cans. You may want to look into using 20mm cans though, the dimensions are probably better for a Dyna. They are a bit taller and thicker, but not as long. It would probably fit with the shocks better since you wouldn't need to cut as much off of the cans, and they would be taller and thicker to give you some more storage. I think they are 1" taller, .5" wider, and 1" shorter in length.
