I want replace my plugs for winter storage, someone told me to use anti-seize when replacing them. I have both Silver grade and copper loctite brand anti-seize, which is the one I should use, or maybe I should use something different.
Thanks Jonnierock
Gotta love this site!! I've been just coating my threads with a light film of fresh oil for 25 years...LOL...never had one seize yet.....
Seriously should I be using that stuff you mention? Do you remove it from the threads before you crank up for the season? Never... ever... used any ainti-seize.
I have read about the anti sieze and used it for years.I have also heard that using it can up the heat range of your spark plugs, don't know if that would be a good thing or not.
i wouldn't guess it would matter all that much which one you use. how hot do you plan on your engine getting in storage this winter?
btw, i use the copper. its what i have. if i had the other, i would use that.....
