I used it to remove some tar and bugs the other day and it seemed to work great. Just wanted to make sure its safe to use on chrome. Anyone else try it?

 

It has gotten on chrome when I am cleaning other parts and such. No problems here. We prefer to use windex without ammonia or other cleaners for chrome, but whatever floats your boat.

 

here in so fla, they say it actually helps prevent corrosion to the chrome. it is recommended praying it on a rag and wiping it on your chrome when taking a ride to the keys to protect the chrome from the salt air.

 

I went to a lubrications seminar when I was running a large shop and they said wd40 is actually a solvent. It will evaporate

 

Would that make your rag a prayer cloth? And could you sell it on TV for a generous donation?

 

S100 makes an anti corrosion spray I have used. It seems to work well.

 

WD40 is the original motorcycle detailing spray. We used to spray it all over any black parts and engines. Makes it look like new until it gets hot and burns off.

 

WD-40 and 000 steel wool worked getting my boot rubber off my pipes.

 

Only if the dirt you wipe off forms a picture of Jesus. And you'll get more money from Ebay than on tv.

 

WD-40 is fine. Buff it out, and any residue left over will burn off.

Windex is the best for the chrome....but the guys above are right in that it will prevent corrosion.
