Default Bigger front tire on Sportster?

What is the biggest tire for the front on a XL custom? a 1200 08 model. Anyone have a picture of a sportster with a bigger front tire & wheel?

be careful not to get too big a tire the rake changes and the heavier front tire might make steering hellish at cruising speed.

If by bigger you mean wider, then the best option is to change over to a 19" wheel which can carry a wider tire, like the Std, Low and R models have. The sidewall on the 19" tire is taller than the 21" sidewall so the overall height difference isn't as much as it might seem. That's what I did.

when you say huge do you mean tall or wide???

ive seen lots of short wide tires and lots of huge skinny tires, both can be thought of as huge.

im a fan of the wide ones, myself

what is the widest tire someone is runing on 21" wheel?
not trying to highjack your thread just heard a wider tire handles better.

Default Changing front tire size

I to would like to go to a larger "tubeless" tire on my 2009 Sporty 1200 Custom.
I currently have a laced 21" wheel and tire and would like to install a alloy 19" wheel with tubeless tire.
My question is: Will I have to modify the front fender?? How will this alter the ride?
Thanks
Frank

I have a 110 ME880, don't run a fender, and formerly had a 21" laced. Muuuuuuuuch better now in my opinion.
