I realize now that this varies depending on which brand of head gaskets you use. The S&S ones say to toqrue down to 14 ft-lbs then to turn the head bolts another 90 degrees. The James gaskets that I used before simply said to torque the head bolts down to 42 ft-lbs. Different brands call for different things...
