Post Injector change -Do I need to re-tune?

I just picked up a set of 25 deg injectors. I didn't think to ask the MOCO if I need a re-tune, since the angle is different and metering may be slightly different too.
If so, can I get away with a sweep adjustment across the fuel tables? Is this too risky? What direction, if this is possible; +/-?

Engine info: stage three, 95", torque & Horsepower cam, stock TB, SERT.

Both the 8* and the 25* injectors deliver 3.91 mg/sec. You should be OK on your tuning tables but the 25* will atomize and mix with air more completely. You could adjust your VE tables higher across the board by 3 - 5% which is common between 8* and 25* calibrations.

I didn't know they made 25 deg injectors for MY 2004 big twins. If you got you hands on injectors for 06 and up the plug is different and the injectors for the 04 are 4.35 mg/sec vs the 3.91 of the smaller 06 and up.

This is correct info. Thanks M3

4.35 up to 2005. 3.91 in 2006- 2007. In 2008 and up they went back to 4.35.

The results of the 8* conversion to 25* would remain the same IF he originally has the 8*, this is why I asked.

Msocko 3 & Mr Wizard,
Here's the part number; 27709-06A
I haven't even dove into the job yet and the connector looks differant. I did make the comment when I picked them up too. I have to call the MOCO tomorrow anyway so I will verify. I'll check the forum in the morning before 9:30 am central time to see if you guys may have the answer on this part number.

The 27709-06a is the 25* injector replacement for the 8* 2006 throttle body injector recall.

I have to return them and get the ones for the 04's. I told them what year I had too. Off the top of your head, do you know what part number I need?
Thanks again!
