Need help with RF PBR300x2
I picked up the RF amp and went to install last night. I have a Sony HU with the Hawg wired install kit and Hertz speakers. I was running the Arc and decided to go with a little more power. I read all the threads on the RF. I use the speakers for input instead of the rca like evryone suggested. I soldered the 2 rear speaker outs from the HW converter box to the RF input speaker harness. Put my positive and negative on with no trigger wire. Hooked up the speaker and I had sound for about 5 minutes. Played great then just went dead. Call RF tech and they walked me through a couple of trouble shooting scenarios. THey think the amp is bad. What do you guys think. Everything was working fine with my Arc which I took out. PUZZLED!

Most folks simply take the wires that were connected to the speakers and use those to connect to the RF input harness; then, use new (or in your case) wires from the output side of the RF as the new speaker wires.
I don't know why you would use anything from HW converter box as an input to the amp since the converter box doesn't carry an audio signal--it simply allows the handlebar controls to control the radio.

The RF is a lot clearer and a bit louder. Not really that noticible at high speeds but definately notcible at low speed and parked. I was out for about an hour and had no issues. I guess for the money it's worth it.
