well i got the amp & speakers installed. 6.5" in the lowers & in the fairing. wired the speakers at 2ohms & sounds great till you get to a certain volume then the amp will clip. so im thinking it cant handle four speakers running at a total of 2ohms. so im going to switch everything to run them at 8ohms first & see if i like that. other than that this amp & speakers are freakin LOAD !
& the clarity when not ridding is pretty good too.

went with the fosgate T1652 for the lowers & the P1653 for the fairing.
just the P1653 speaker alone sound way better than the J&M that i took out.
but then again the fosgate speakers are a three way & the J&Ms are only two ways.

ill keep you posted.

oh yah i also did the LEDs in the speakers but i only put them on the top of the speaker adapters so as to not blind me at night. they turned out great. just a little bit of a glow when dark.
i used the LEDs from PEPBOYS that have i think 6 LEDs in the strip. think it was about 4" long. they cost $14 for two.

I have the amp with 2 Polk 6.5 Marine grades in the batwing and a Sony Marine Stereo from biketronics. I have to say the darn amp is awesome. Ears bleed after a long ride. Was doing 90 yesterday on the highway and blasting the stereo, crystal clear.

bought mine from ebay and paid 170.00...the seller's name was infinity electronics...matching this amp up with with a set of polk mm651's that i got from amazon...these ran me 104.00 and that was the cheapest that i could find them....speaker adapters and the rf wiring kit added 55.00 to my stereo project...i have not had a chance to install this yet, i am still refacing my fireplace this weekend, but hopefully next weekend i will be able to give u some kind of review...it sounds like this is going to be a pretty awesome audio setup for around 340.00...

Well I've learned never to do all your winter mods in December again. The 300x2 wasn't out then. I would have gotten that amp. Oh well, satisfied with my 300x4 for now. Most likely with switch later this year.

I have the 300x4 FG running fosgate speakers in fairing have 4 6.5 on RG. Iam wanting to run the 300x2 for some component's in the bags suggestions, also still running stock radio suggestions on that also.

Suggest just about any unit other than stock. I have the sony with the iPod tray. Works great and both my iPod and iPhone fit in there and charge. The only downfall is no cd player, which I dont use anyway. Check out biktronics or hawg wired for kits that will allow the use of hand controls. I think that 300x2 with a set of 6x9 in the bags would rock that RG. I am trying to see if 6x9's or 6" subs would work best in the bags myself

Before you change anything, how did you set the gain on the amp? I ask because you can get clipping because the gain isn't set correctly with the head unit volume.
