The OEM tribar light on the street glide rear, is it a running light, or running and brake light?

 

From the factory, it is just running. Harley does sell a run/stop replacement.

This Fits '06-'09 FLHX models. This one fits '10-later FLHX and FLTRX models (except HDI models).

 

The upgrade to brake/run light is easy to install. You don't need to take it to a dealer. Took me about 30 minutes and that was mostly trying to get the screws back in after the unit swap. Brought mine from Kutter HD Online (with free shipping).

 

Custom Dynamics also offers a replacement LED Tri-bar. CD gives you a choice of red or smoked as well and its fully plug 'n play.

 

Which, I did not know about before installing the one from the Mo-Co. Sure wish CD made a tri-bar run/brake with a clear lens.

 

They come in red or smoked which is almost clear.


I got the red to match my red turns, I thought 48 LED's would have been brighter but the Triple Play modual (that you have to get with '10s wiring) allows adjustment to the running lights to match the Tri-bar.

Or if you can do a little wiring and don't mind removing the rear tire you can get this which has turn signals built in. Love mine and people ask me all the time where I got it.
