The upgrade to brake/run light is easy to install. You don't need to take it to a dealer. Took me about 30 minutes and that was mostly trying to get the screws back in after the unit swap. Brought mine from Kutter HD Online (with free shipping).
Which, I did not know about before installing the one from the Mo-Co. Sure wish CD made a tri-bar run/brake with a clear lens.
They come in red or smoked which is almost clear.
I got the red to match my red turns, I thought 48 LED's would have been brighter but the Triple Play modual (that you have to get with '10s wiring) allows adjustment to the running lights to match the Tri-bar.
Or if you can do a little wiring and don't mind removing the rear tire you can get this which has turn signals built in. Love mine and people ask me all the time where I got it.
