I have a 2014 Ultra limited with no modification with the exception of RC mufflers.. I am getting a knocking noise in the upper end .. I have complained to my dealer and Harley has called me twice and told me no problems.. It is a "normal" noise with the high output motor and the interaction between the cams and rollers.. This sounds like bs to me but I have heard of others getting the same story..Harley has said it does not matter the type oil you use.. I have tried syn 3 and then back to dino oil and it still knocks in all gears but not at idle nor revving in garage.. Just under load going down the road.. Getting hot does not eleviate the noise and it is always there.. Any others having similiar problems and getting the same story from your dealer and Harley ?.. I have rode Harleys since the mid 80s and have never had knocking like this even from my 89 ultra that had 80000 miles on it ! Have an extended warranty.
